Fans and exhaust

I think it is time to replace the "fly swatter" with a Flex-a-lite fan, but I don't have the money to invest in an electric fan. They make a replacement fan for use with the serpentine belt with counter-clockwise rotation, which is what I have. Does anyone have one of these? Do you need the fan spacer they offer? They also make a standard fan and clutch as a direct replacement. Which is better?

Oh, another thing, when I bought my truck the exhaust system from the catalytic converter - out was replaced. I cannot find anything, anywhere, regarding headers, etc., for this truck. Is my only option to go with stock?
