Paint Removal
Here is a little thought provoking, everyone seems to ask about putting the best paint job on, I want to remove it.
I have a set of doors (steel) that have been painted with undercoating on the outside. Upon closer inspection I have noticed some rust under the hinges coming through and rust pin holes along the bottom. What is the best way to strip off the undercoating and the paint underneath? Are chemical strippers worthwhile, or should I get a lot of sanding disks and go nuts with that? I am afraid with the rubbery undercoating paint, the disks will clog quickly. I don't have an industrial sandblaster, just a small parts one available. Who has some ideas?
