Thanks for the replies, guys - it was a shot in the dark. I have a 2" puck lift so plan to go to 32s and that will help - a small bit. I'm told going to 33's and 35s increase the risk of detonating axle parts, etc., so may just buck it up on the highway and get off road more often!
And you're right - had I known what I was doing early on, getting the 4:1 would've been the perfect way to go -
