Need to check your owners manual. My neighbor’s Kia did the same thing. His battery went dead which triggered an anti-theft protection. The alarm kept going off. Key in the ignition to start, starter would not engage.

The procedure on his was to wait until the alarm quit and then punch a button on the remote three times. I think it was the door unlock button but not sure.
