That is not bad, so you might luck out in bending it back. However, every broke spring I have seen had almost the same story....got bent once (or twice), bent it back....and eventually broke in the same place.

They don't call it spring steel for nothing. Once you have stressed it enough to exceede it's 'shape memory' (can't remember the exact term), the material has lost some of it's strength and it's only a matter of time before it breaks.

This might be a good time to go SOA.
