CJ7 Rear leaf spring problem?

So I had a great time at the bash. So I was on the last obstacle of the day --

When Jeff and Mark noticed that my right rear spring was "folded" -- I did not see it. Anyway, we decided to pull cable and winch out instead of risking further damage.

So I got it on the trailer and saw this.

Well, to me that does not look too bad. You can see some separation between the main leaf and the rest of the pack between the axle and the spring clamp.

Well, I took it off of the trailer and turned hard right and noticed this. The Jeep does not lean this much normally.

So I looked at the spring and saw this.

It is easy to see the "crease" in the spring in that picture.

So, is this spring salvageable? Would you drive on it? I did end up buying a new leaf pack, but am concerned that the new pack will sit taller than the old one. Would it be OK to take the main leaf out of the new pack and put it in the old pack?

Thanks,
Mike
