This is sort of a catch 22. Anything over about 31" tires will rob your four cylinder of a lot of power without re-gearing. If you swap in the 350 for more power, the rest of the driveline will suffer, with the possible exception of the front D30, which can live if not abused.
Might do some searching for axle swaps, such as the Ford 8.8, and think and finding a donor Chevy with an SM465/NP205 attached. This is a rather long, but bullet proof combo.
A few months past, I think it was Elusive or Rio Grande posted about swapping in 5.23 gears (or close to it) behind a four cylinder and having good power at highway speeds. Maybe they will chime in.
