As long as it is the proper weight for the Chebby....use it!!! You only need the additive if you have a limited slip or posi rear....if in doubt, put it in, it won't hurt with it....but it may without it.

One more thing....BUY A GASKET.....they seal SOOOO much better and longer than RTV silly cone ever will.

Ditto on the pump....I use the one I have for changing lower unit oil on my boats.....can't beat it, I'd NEVER go back to filling anything without it!!! Can get one at the marine section at Wally World for like $10 with a quart of 90W.
