I'm not an expert on high pinion Dana 44's. What I seem to remember is that the high pinion was used in 1976-79 Ford F150 and 1978-79 Ford Bronco. I'm not a Dana 44 expert, but I seem to remember that high pinion used reverse rotation gears. The Scout II always used standard rotation gears. I'm thinking that if the gears that are being offered to your are high pinion / reverse rotation gears, it's a good idea to decline the offer if you plan on using the gears in a Scout II axle. I might not be 100% correct, but I seem to remember that the front Dana 44 Wagoneer / Cherokee axles 1974 - 1976 will have the flat top knuckles your looking for a high steer conversion.
