Well, no. If you can unbolt your master cylinder and move it far enough out of the way of the booster to move it, then your good to go without a hitch. I was able to change one out in my 88 without opening the hydraulics up. Hopefully yours goes just as easy. Well, just for giggles, here is the exploded view of the system for you.
