cjva is on a distinguished road
Default First mailbox !!! "" gone""

Well, the first thing I would like to say is Thank You. My sons (2 boys one is 5 and one is 2), have a 2002 Suzuki LTA50. I purchased it last year for them and let them riding though the summer and fall last year. During the winter I decided to rebuild the engine. First, I pulled the engine apart and noticed some scoring on the cylinder. I decided at that time to go ahead and bore it out a little. So, I went with Wiseco piston and rings @ 42.5 which the standard is 41. I then decided to take out any and all restrictions. I first took out the intake restriction in the manifold and used a grinder to smooth out any edges then I took the exhaust and took the baffle and drilled alot of holes in it (my did not have a restriction at the block). While I was doing this stuff I gave the head to a friend and had him do some machine work to it, he shaved it down .025. The next thing I did was change the spark plug to the next one br5hs (I think). I then rejetted the card (70 main jet and removed pre-pilot jet) and moved the needle up one notch. After that I custom redesigned the original airbox. THIS THING WILL FLY NOW!! After my 5 year old had one hour of riding he took out his first mailbox, I had to repair it for my neighbor. I couldn't have does this without the support of this forum and all of you that write in and give advise of what others should do. I want to THANK YOU!!!!! This is the first time I have written anything in here, I mostly just read.

C. J.

PS if any of you want some pics I can send some.

Should we say "Congratulations?"

Our son took out his first fence within minutes/seconds of getting on his first-ever ATV. There were many more in the 14 years that followed. However, his love for the sport is still going strong.
