Default cdi limitations, rev limiter Cat 50cc 2004

rev limiter .Is there a way to bypass it. there is no carb limiter. checked that .thought maybe was breather restricting air took it off for test. then after hit certain rpm just died out till i let off throttle. thanks for any help

I have a 2006 kymco which is basicly the same as yours. The rev limiter is in the cdi box which is located under the seat on the kymco. Problem is I have'nt been able to find a way to over ride it or to find a high performance cdi that would work.
