| | | Complaint about Baja Motorsports We purchased an ATV from a local Pepboys. Within 2 weeks the axel had a problem. Second time we had taken it out. Baja requested we send in our receipt which we did within 2 days. After speaking to some very rude people there. They told us where to take it. When we got it there the service people told us Baja was low priority and it will take a while. We requested an exchange but Baja refused. After 2 weeks of calling we finally got the repair place to look at the bike (that took a week) and we got Baja to call them to see what parts were needed. None of this was done by Baja or the service place without many phone calls from us. Again on June 29 we requested a replacement but were told since all parts were in stock they couldnt do it. On June 30 we called to make sure this was moving along but were told the parts still hadnt even been ordered. July 5 we called back to ask for a waybill so we could track the parts but were told the parts were on backorder. So we used the ATV twice in less the 2 weeks and its been in the shop 3. We really have no idea when the parts will be in stock but were told when they are ordered it will take at least a week. When the repair place gets them as I said its not a priority but the ATV will be out of service a month by then. Bought this ATV with my kids they saved and we added some. They have not even been able to use it. I think the wait time has already been unreasonable and its only going to be longer if anyone is goin to purchase Baja feel free to write and I will let you know if I ever got the ATV back
Thanks,
Joe Sawinski

| | | Re: Ask a Baja motorsports employee I changed the transmission on a wilderness 250 because parts broke in the old one. I call and they told me that the transmission had been redesigned to prevent failure. A kit was ordered to replace the whole right side of the tranny. Well they did not send all of the parts require to complete the change. The two bolts that came with the kit were not the right size. The bolts should have been about 1/4" longer than the rest not 1/4" shorter. Also the chain is now to short. The instructions did not indicate what type of and how much oil should be used after completion. A shaft also broke on the left side of the tranny.
Would you please e-mail me and let me know what kind and how much oil is required for the left and right side of the tranny?
Also, if you could, please let me know why a new chain was not sent?
Thanks, Ron |

| | | Re: Complaint about Baja Motorsports Just wanted to update in case someone has read the last post while considering a Baja purchase. I first contacted Baja about a problem with my ATV 3 weeks ago. Some people were very nice but one or two gave the impression that overall Baja didnt care. Today 07/08/06 someone from Baja contacted me and told me they were aware this was draging out. They said they will have the parts shipped this week or make other arrangements. It has taken a little longer than I would have liked but maybe it was an oversite and they are concerned with customer satisfaction. I will update later in the week as to whether or not this parts thing is resolved.

I am sorry about the incomplete order. I would call and talk with you personally about this issue but Ron is a pretty common name so i have no way of locating you account. The new longer chain you need is part number wd250-914. If you wish to order the part you can call in (888.863.2252) or email me at service@bajamotorsports.net.

| | | Re: Complaint about Baja Motorsports Subject: wrong part/ bad service
Hi,
was wondering if you can help me. I called baja and wanted to order just a brake lever for a wilderness 50. I spoke with two people from Baja and they both confirmed that what I needed was part number 50-089 for a rear brake lever with the full assembly and it was about $41, I asked if it was possible to only order the lever and the answer I got was a NO, you have to order the whole assembly. I did not argue and gladly said OK I need it so I guess I have no choice in the matter. Today after waiting for a week, I receive a brake assembly without the lever and lines. I received a Brake Caliper. I tried to call and got hung up on three times. Can you tell me How can I obtain the lever and how do I return this useless part that I now have. If I do not resolve this issue within the next week or so. I will report this to the better business bureau and will not pay the invoice through my credit card and challenge the fee. The service with Baja is ridiculus and If I was you I would find another company to work for.
Thanks for your time

I can only tell someone the same thing so many times. I can not help someone who does not listen. |
