Default

I recently went into Pep-Boys to pick up a transmission for my truck and I noticed a motorcycle made by Baja Motorsports. It was a 250 sport bike similar to the Kawasaki 250 ninja. They also had some of your Phoenix 250's on hand, the two seemed to have the same or similar engines. I would like more information on the sport bike. I have been considering a bike of that type for a commuter bike. I travel 130 miles a day (65miles each way), I'm currently doing this in my 03 Ford Ranger but would like better gas economy, the ranger gets between 25 and 30 miles per gallon. Acording to reports the 250 Ninja gets around 75 miles per gallon. I am very familliar with the Kawasakis but yours are fairly new. I am registered on this forum as racingjim90n. My home address is James Henry 19641 Nordt rd Damon, texas 77430 Feel free to contact me by e-mail or snail mail.

Thank you
Jim Henry

Default Baja 250 shift problem

I have a 2006 Baja Wilderness 250, last weekend I was out riding when all of a sudden it became difficult to shift gears. I have to reach down with my hand and yank up on the shifter to get the next gear. I noticed the indicator light doesn't come on steady in neutral. the reverse shifter had always been a little bit sticky but since the gear shifter problem started it is really smooth. I have checked the clutch adjustment and it is fine. does this have anything to do with the bad transmission I have been reading about here or is that something else. does anyone have an electronic copy of the service manual ?
It would like to see what I'm about to take apart.
