today I spoke to the district manager of pep boys, He said he is working on getting me a rba number from baja and will call me monday.
hopefully he will be able to get me a refund, if so I have learned a very valuable lesson about baja motorsports and I will be looking for 2 units that are reliable I hope this will save just one person the troubles that I am going through with baja.
baja is without a doubt the worse company that I have ever had dealings with..
I have a baja shifter 90 go cart and I have been having problems getting a stator for it. The ignition side of the stator is no good and cannot get the part from baja. It has been on back order since november. I even tried going to my local baja service to have them order it and still the same problem. Is there anything comparable that I can get like a yamaha so I can get this thing going for my son. Please help!
Same story, still on back order for the stator (generator). I ordered it in December and still waiting. Went to local go-kart shop who repairs baja for pep boys and they are having the same problem. The rep told me that he has no eta for the part, but tried to give me a warm and fuzzy about it by stating that a Purchase Order for 20 was placed. That's great but that just means that an order was put into the manufacturer, but it doesn't mean that it is coming in. Yamaha makes the same component, but I can't get a comparable index on the part. Does anybody have a comparison for a stator (generator) for the baja 90cc. The part number is FS 90331. It sounds like the company is having problems with this component and it should be recalled. I would think Pep Boys, Rural King, and other retailers would stop carrying a product that can't be fixed.
Pep Boy's Manager called Sunday, 06/25/07 his DM contacted him and told him to contact me and schedule a return/refund, for this week, and that they would deal with Baja and try to re-coupe their money, I told him that I did not want Pep Boy's to have to eat the cost of the units and that I would fight Baja, He assured me he would get an RB# not to worry about them loosing money and they wanted happy customers.
I am returning them Wednesday or Thursday, we'll see what happens.
way to go Pep Boy's!!
done deal,
Pep Boy's refunded my money,
I did pick up the other at the repair shop, my son started it to drive it to the trailer and it quit running befor he made it there, about 50 feet
