| | Baja 90 starting problems I have noted a couple of messages on baja 90's that won't start, just a click when you hit the start button. I am having same problem. Power is getting to the starter as it gets warm but nothing happens (it doesn't turn the engine over. Anyone get this resolved? Battery is good, lights at full power when turned on.
Problem started on first ride of the spring. I was going down the road when the motor died. Hit the starter and it went again. Died 50 yards later;m started again and made it home (100 yards) and quit again. Now engine won't turn over. Oil level is good. Quad has 200 miles on it.
Any guess as to problem?

Gracious, you're talking about an ATV which is less than a year and a half old, and you're saying people shouldn't be able to count on getting replacement parts. I expect to be able to get replacement parts for my ATV, even though it is 20 years old, and I can get them. Not that I've needed them often. Most ATV companies that have stood the test of time produce tremendously durable equipment. If your comment is reflective of your company's attitude, your company is doomed. |

i do not claim to be anywhere near proffesional, but i've read through this whole forum(i don't know why, i don't even own an atv) and it seems like baja will tell you to replace the ignition coil, another guy who was rather dissatisfied with baja says to replace the starter(also was a mazda master mechanic).
my suggestion is to work on replacing either of those and if neither works, sell the damn thing and buy a suzuki, or yamaha... or anything with a bigger name. good luck to you

| | Well, after emailing you about the Doodle Bug Minibike (you said they had good power) I bought one. It was terribly lacking in power, would not move with a 125# rider on a slight incline. I took it back to the store and got my money back. |

thanks for the advice. Local mechanic said the same thing. I'll buy both the starter and the coil to be safe and sell it quick whether it works or not...then buy another Suzuki or Honda....there're worth three times the price. |

| | Sport 125 ATV - Shifter Just purchased this quad at Joes for my son. Cute as heck. The suspension is just awesome.
The shifter spring is so tight that he cannot shift it or get it into gear. I can but must agree it is very hard/stiff. Everything else seems fine.
Is there a way to losen this shifter spring?? It is also a long throw to 1st,2nd, etc.
Thanx |

| | Bajamotorsports Trax 65 Clutch Bought a used Baja Motorsports Trax 65 go kart. Clutch has gone bad and Baja Motorsports has none in stock. Let me know if anybody out there has experienced a similar problem and found an aftermarket clutch that will work with the Trax 65.
Thanks. |

| | Storm 125 ATV Shifter issue After not hearing back from anyone, I took the shifter to my local welding shop (picture attached). We added a kicker to the shifter. Now my son can shift this thing by kicking the shifter just like the old Honda 110 trail bikes. Kick back, upshift, kick down, down shift.
The rest of this ATV seems to be a good working ATV and I am pleased.

| | Baja Extreme 300 I bought a BAJA EXTREME 300 for my son at a PEP BOYS in CA and when I took it to get it registered at the DMV they told me that according to the VIN it can not be green stickered only red. Because of that it just sits in the backyard with a cover on it because this is May and riding season for your BAJA 300 here in CA starts in October (when school is in session). Why in the world would BAJA send products to be sold in CA that do not meet CA emissions. When I called BAJA and asked them about this they said it is between pepbys and Me. I had a problem with the BAJA 150 that I also bought, A baja employee told me, after I asked him do they stand behind their product and he said NO! Please let me know what you think, is it between Pepboys and me or can Baja do something for me?
