THE E-TON 90 IS BY FAR FASTER THAN KASEA. MY LITTLE GIRL RACES THE E-TON 90 AGAINST KASEA, POLARIS 90,AND IT HOLDS ITS OWN.I'M A NOT DOWNING THE OTHERS. I PUT A TRINITY PIPE,#110 JET, KNEW AIR FILTER,AND IT RUNS HIGH 40'S.

faaiish,

Sorry, I didn't see your post until now...

If you drive through water below the running boards (the factory max limit), NO water gets into the belt area. If you "spash around", the water doesn't usually get into the belt area. If you drive through water 1/2 way "AND MORE" up the engine, water immediately goes into the belt area. To view a picture where the water does get into the drive belt area, surf: - Press Here - On your SP-90, its transmission cover may be different, or you've be very lucky. Only time will tell where the max water line is on your SP-90 unit.

Some folks do install dual lights on the SP-90. They remove the fack front rectangle lights and install real rectangle lights - the same physical size. I read where someone used a 20 Watt light bulb in each. Both where either ON or OFF via manual switch with inline fuse. I read another post where someone installed 35 watt bulbs in each. Their manual switch was a 3 position. Left bulb on, Right bulb on or both off. One person found their rectangle light at an automotive store and the other found their light at a mini-tractor store.

To view how I installed a single front light on my son's '03 Pred-90, surf: - Press Here -

Due to the amount of water & mud my son & I do, we decided to keep its factory air box. Although the box is low, its factory seal is really good at keeping the the water out. However, its factory snorkel is a huge air-flow bottle neck. I installed a shorter snorkel, and did get more performance out of his engine. To see a picture, surf: - Press Here -

Due to the amount of water you take your SP-90 into, you may want to install a grease zerk into its Swing Arm and install a Spring Loaded Chain tensioner. These mods will reduce the wear / tear of water washing away its grease. For pictures, surf:

If I was the designer of minis, I'd remove their Oil Injection tank (run premix at 32:1), turn its carb backwards and install its air filter where its oil injection tank was mounted. The air filter could be serviced from removing the seat (just like many adult size quads) and I'd ensure each factory makes optional daytime running light kits. I'd also block the side belt area vent. If many adult size quads don't have this air vent, why do minis have them? I'd also make their frames stronger, make their suspension with more weight range adjustments, make the units wider and ensure each brand had a dual foot and hand control braking system. To me, hydrolic open disc brakes should be mandatory on all minis. Being mass produced on an assembly line, these changes would only increase the cost of each mini approx $50. I guess they are holding these improvements back for future years.
