You may want to post your same question within:

http://forums.atvconnection.com/cate...m/catid/10.cfm

http://forums.atvsource.com/viewforum.php?f=11

These forums have a few un-restricted ACs on them.

Here's a cut / paste from one of the forums....

------------------

The AC and the Bombardier are the most restricted quad on the market. They have the brass spacer in the variator plus they have a 50 tooth sprocket on the rear. Plus a crapy cdi which will not even let it rev up. I have an 04 Arctic Cat 50 off the show room floor it was very slow. I took the restrictor out of the intake tube and changed the rear 50 sprocket for a 38 and removed the spacer in the variator and it was the difference between night and day. My son had to race it 1 race before we got all the mods in. there were etons, Polaris, and a few lt-50's and an Alpha Sports in the race and he smoked them all. He even laped a few riders. I'm not saying anything bad about the eton, they are a great quad. I was just wondering about the restrictors and the sprocket deal and the cdi box. Because a 50 tooth sprocket is a joke. Now this quad has a pipe, Jetted,Twin air filter, Malossi reedblock and reeds, DRR cdi box,Malossi clutch kit, and larger wheels, (same size as the 90's)-which gives it more top end. And this little quad flat out flys .

------------------

Hope this helps...

I was the one to give the above information. If you go back to some of the old pages I posted some information on the Arctic Cats. My son races the 50 AC. If you need any help please pm Me.

Hey blueticket,

thanks for helping out. When I cut/pasted your information (from the other forum) I should have put you as the author. Sorry about that.

Glad you're back on this forum as well. Many of us missed your "real world" experience assistance.

Again, thanks for helping others...

Remove the clutch cover. The variator is on the left. Clutch on the right. There is a brass nut holding the pullys together. In between the 2 pully halfs there is a brass spacer, It's about a quarter of an inch wide.Remove it. Put a 32 to 35 rear sprocket on it. It will help.
