Well, let's see... There's Sultan Basin, Walker Valley, Evans creek, Taneum creek/Monastash, Naches trail...there's a bunch, look around on this board, and other various places on the 'net. Also check out Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Assoc. Enjoy - hope to see ya on the trail sometime...=0)

Try http://www.pnw-offroad.com/ for maps - that's a start. Most people that don't want you wheelin' on their private property will post "No Tresspassing" signs or there will be a gate. More often than not, if you go with a wheeler who is experienced in this state, you will likely be on legal trails.

I was just cruising the net and saw your post. Try Walker Valley. Since you have a jeep you will have few difficulties. I was there in a '90 Ranger longbox and destroyed the drivers side on upper expressway. Walker Valley is a grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat place to wheel, if you have a Jeep or Suzi. DO NOT GO ALONE. Bring a very experienced 4x4 buddy that you trust to help and spot in those areas that you can't see very well or that make you uneasy. After you come out from Walker you will be a damn good wheeler. Though I have seen instances where nothing on this planet could improve some peoples driving ability. I did some masterful tricks on upper expressway but due to the length and height of my ranger there was no way to get it through some of those turns without damage. An enjoyable day regardless.

Walker Valley is just east of Mount Vernon about 45 minutes north of you. I can't give exact directions but just ask at a few gas stations in town. You are entering redneck county and should have no problem finding one to point you in the right direction. Have Fun.
