Default Where to go offroading in the Ocala National Forest

I live in Ocala Fl. I am trying to get some people together saturday night for a trailo ride and some muddin. But I cant think of anywhere to go ride. There are a lot of places around hgere that are closed. Would anyone here happen to know some good places to ride?

Wow- hope I'm not to late to save you. You can only ride on roads/trails that have a jeep symbol or a number on a post. If you go down any trails that don't have one or the other you can get a major ticket. They are really serious out there. The fines are even bigger if you get caught in the mud or in sinkholes or pits- I heard it's $ 500 per tire. I have some friends that got caught last year and ended up going to court over it and had to pay like $1200. I was at Delancy West this weekend and some guys came back ranting and raving because they got caught in the mud and each came back with 3 tickets. I don't know why they left the trail- they are marked and its really hard to get off trail up there. I'm guessing they did it on purpose because there aren't any mudholes on the trails. I think there are maps on the Forest Service website.

Yea they are quick to give tickets out there. We ended up riding off FR 43. But I am planning on going again this weekend and I dont want to go to the same places over and over. It gets boring. Someone suggested going to big scrub. But I have never been out there and I dont know my way around.
