| | Norfolk Virginia Beach Area
I got stationed in Norfolk a month ago (I miss Pensacola, found alot of great trails). I've been trollin' around outside the cities where it gets more country, but can't seem to find anywhere, but if I do discover anywhere, I'll post it.
Thanks

Nope. Nothin great. There was a decent place out at Oceana NAS, but I went one time and the owner of the land was out there and told me he is makin it strictly for ATV/bikes/UTV's due to trucks makin huge ruts into the areas where he farms. I went there recently and I saw a couple jeeps and trucks out in the mud so I played... but I'm not sure if the owner knows of this. I asked and everyone says as far as they know, there's been no trouble. It's literally right next to Oceana NAS, in an apartment complex.
...I know there's gotta be, no one lifts there truck for no reason (,or do they? Damn Mall Krawlers.) and also there's a Jeep off-road climb here too. When I lift my truck, I'm gunna talk to the guys at Pungo Off-Road about where to go.
but if you figure out any info, let me know.

I was thinking the same thing with all the lifted trucks around here, but after now finding any off-road spots I think we can chaulk them all up to being rednecks and wanna-be rednecks. I think it's retarded that you would lift your truck strictly for show and not use it!

theres a few places, most have been shut down and/or suck though. Theres a place by the virginia beach Court House parallel with Princess Ann Road. Its where they're adding power lines. It goes on for about a mile, nothing amazing but is fun right after it rains. Theres also a big trench there that only jeeps (wranglers) can get through (short wheel base) unless you have 38s or something.
And this place at the end of Ansol road by virginia beach blvd and lynnhaven pkwy, by the train tracks. But they put up no trespassing signs about a month ago so go there at your own risk. http://www.youtube.com/v/U37dFoY41Mk&hl=en&fs=1
Also, theres a slim chance any one at pungo is gonna tell you were to go off roading seeing how its generally illegal and they dont want the spots they know about getting blown up. However, if they do tell you about some places thats great.
