STOLEN!! VW Sand Rail/ Dune Buggy - Manteca, CA

A close friend of mine just had his brother's VW Based Sand Rail stolen from right in front of his house. It happened in Manteca, California between 4AM and 5AM (PDT) this morning (June 15, 2006). The rail was sitting in front of the house chained to a tree, with a For Sale sign on it. The trailer it was on is a custom built T- trailer specifically made for this rail.

Neighbors reported seeing two males and a Pickup truck in the area at approximately 4:00 this morning. They also reported seeing one hispanic male in a grey or silver car photographing the back end of the rail/trailer and the tree it was chained to.

The theifs stole everything, trailer, rail, chain, locks....even the For Sale sign.

The license plate on the trailer reads: California: 4GG7015

Suspected to be seen near Pismo in the coming weekends as the 4th of July approaches.
