Default restoring my dads old dt
I've dug out my dads yamaha and want to restore it. Can anyone help on telling me what I have. The # on the motor and frame are DT1F-190029.
He bought it in Phoenix from Alan Johnson in 1974. I just want to know a little about these D series bikes and if they are worth restoring?

According to the engine # you have a 1972 yamaha DT2MX,250cc.Should have a red tank?You can go to www.speed&sportinc.com.Lots of yamaha stuff.Also www.yamaha-motor.com.Look up model # and they have all the drawings and parts list!
