Default 198? yamaha yz250 4v3
Hello all,
I am new to this site and to rebuilding vintage bikes so I am a bit green.
The tag on my bike says it was built in Oct of 1980 so does that mean it is a 1980?
I have been looking for engine parts and having a hard time. can anyone tell me what other years, if any, are compatable. The stamp on the motor is
4V3 - 000404. I need a crank, connecting rod, piston, rings, bearings and magneto.
If anyone can help me that would be great.

I would suggest getting a good manual like a Clymers or something have you tried ebay? Anyways here a couple websites the first one is in the UK and sells a Clymer manual which you can look in and it will tell you what year your bike is by the stamp on the motor the other website offers a lot more parts hope this helps.
