08 sportsman 800 cv problem

I have a 08 sportsman 800 with a busted front right cv joint and a buwsted rear right cv boot. My axles have a round c-clip on the end that snaps into the cv joint and I was wondering how to get the cv joint off my axle? does it just pop off or is it more complicated? thanks for any help you can give me
