Default Bombardier 2006 outlander max 400 HO xt questions

I'm looking to purchase the 2006 model of the bombardier outlander max 400 HO xt. I am a first time buyer and don't know much about this model. I wanted a 2 person model and am wondering about the 400 cc. Does anyone have one? What is the top speed with one and two passengers? I'm no speed freak and will use it mostly for ice fishing but am concerned about its available power. Does it seem to have more than enough power? Is there a difference in performance between the carbureted engine vs. the EFI on the 500cc or larger? Are there pros and cons to cabureted vs. fuel injected? Thanks for the information.

You will find that with one person this machine will do fifty and with two about fortyfive. You will find this to be a very capable machine. The big difference in carb vs efi is in the ease of starting. The singel biggest complaint with the Bombardier is the getting them started. I have discovered that using a fuel stabilizer helps with this challenge.

Overall I do not think you can find a better machine especially if you are looking at a two up machine.

What the heck?

I think the outlanders are one of the easiest machines to start.

It starts easy, cold or hot.
