Kodiak charging problem?

02 Kodiak with a fairly new battery has started making whistling noise that you can hear after shutdown and battery is too hot to touch with hand. Noise is coming from the sealed battery. Checked output at idle was 13.6 volts and when bike turned off 13.3 in the battery. Do these have any history of charging problems? I'm thinking this is an over charging condition but hoping for some good input from you. Gets used about 2 hours a day right now checking cows/calves. Thanks for the help.
