New to ATV's. Any advice?

Well we bought a used 1987 Honda 350 Fourtrax Foreman 4X4, brought it home, cleaned it up, new muffler, tires, etc and are headed for Central Oregon this weekend to try it out. I am looking for any and all advice on this rig. I have had dozens of Hondas from scooters, dirt bikes, Gold Wings, Valkyries, Etc. This is our first ATV.
There is a very strange LED Meter located on the right front fender (by right knee) that lights up to 7-LED's then some go out left to right. What the kheck is that. With the key on no lights come on, when it idles all the lights come on, rev it and some or all go out.

Make sure you keep the valves properly adjusted on older hondas.

If I remember right they didn't have replacable "bearing sets" so if the cam oblonged the bearing seat, it means new head time.

That is about $1200 - $1400

Otherwise, typical Honda, maybe not pretty but still runs like a top.
