Default yamaha bruin starter problem

I recently purchased an '04 yamaha bruin 350, and lately, when I hit the starter button, the only thing I get is a buzzing noise from the starter/relay area. Starts fine w/ pull start. Any thoughts as to what the most likely culprit is? thanks

Is the battery charged?

How about the fuse?

Start small.

have you pulled the starter to see if it checks out?

course, with the time you'd spend there you could take it in to the dealer.
