The biggest problem you're probably going to have is the transmission. Motorcycle's and quads all have the transmission built into the engine cases, so it's more compact and lighter. The car engine will be really heavy for a quad too, so the quad would have to be really big most likely to fit everything inside the frame. You might be better off trying to use a big streetbike engine instead. Most stock big streetbike 4 cylinder engines make over 100hp easily, some 600cc sportbike engines make 125hp stock and have 6 speed transmissions. Chain drive would be the easiest to use, since you could use an axle from any Honda 400ex or Yamaha, making sprockets and hubs easier to find. Good Luck with your project.
