I've got a dilema, I'm getting a Raptor 700 in a couple of weeks and we are going on vacation to oregon to the dunes with our 5th wheel (not a toyhauler) and does anyone know if it is possible to put my raptor in the truck infront of the hitch resting on the cab? I know it would fit but if your turning a corner or backing into somewhere would the 5th wheel hit the quad? oh and we have a ford f-250 longbox. I was hoping someone had done this before and could help me. Thanks
I haven't tried it, but it sounds like you'd be pushing the capacity limits of the truck. Weigh renting at ATV at your destination against the risk and wear from hauling your own.
I don't think you'd be pushing the limits. I just don't think it would fit. I wouldn't want the thing resting on my cab either. Take some mesurements and see if it'll fit. I've seen guys load atv's left to right on top of the bed rails before.
I use a camper and a trailer to carry around my ATV works fine for me, so I hope this gives you some ideas for your next ATV excursion. If your interest there are many sites that offer these trailers, and produces different models.
