Hi, i own a chevy z71(i know your thinking wrong board), but i have come across a 99 toyota tacoma, ext. cab, v6, 5 spd., 4x4, with a body lift wheels and tires other than that it is stock. I was wondering if these are good trucks. My brother has a 90 toyota 4 cyl. 4x4 5 spd. that i like. The also what do you think about the pricing. THey are asking 9500, but it needs a bumper, fender, and headlight. Thanks for any thoughts or info.
Hey man, I have a 99 Tacoma, I don't think that are many trucks (stock) that can hold a candle to it (personal opinion). I love my truck, and yes it is the TRD model. I would never think of parting with my truck for close to that price, in fact Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) gives it a "dealer" trade in price or 12,700.00 and retail is 17,600. So this is either a really good deal, or there is something seriously wrong with it.....
I own a '98 Tacoma, xtra cab, V6, 4x4, no TRD package. I constantly beat on my truck (it's still all stock) and it takes every bit of abuse I dish out. It's a great vehicle and very capable 4wd. I know my next truck will be another Toyota. I would be concerned about that price. It may have possibly been in a wreck. Or maybe it's just stolen.
