ok so I have a good rebuilt engin but i want somthing more powerfull than a 2.7. I am wondering what good engins are out there for my truck, that are not that expensive. I would also like to know if there are any really good cheap places to buy tires, I'm not looking forward to putting down $1,200 for new tires when I need to get them.
ok so first off that truck in a pic is not a tacoma.. looks like a 92-94 pickup so it should have a 2.4 or a 3.0. Are you saying you have a 2.7 tacoma engine you want to put in it? I know there is a lot of people who do a 3.8 buick engine, a chevy 350 or i have heard of the 3.4 tacoma and you can charge that too.. But to be honest it is custom motor mounts and adaptors for the transmission etc. Plus wiring and emmission stuff.. Much easier to just sale and get a different truck. And for the tires those look like no larger then 36's on 15inch wheels.. So tires should only be 200-250 each so you are looking at $1,000 bones. If i was you i would just get some 35's and save a few hundred. What engine and what gears are you running in your truck. And what lifts do you have on it for the 7-9 inchs that is on it? I would guess the procomp 4inch 2inch body and 2inch torson bar crank?
yeah it is a pick up but i just went with the tacoma page because they are so similar. I'm not toaly sure on my engin size, I just want a bigger one. I dont really plan on doing anything any time soon. I'm saving to buy a Honda CBR600RR so and im going to drive that mostly and save my truck for the rain. I also need to change my front gears. I think I have 4 10s in the back. I'm in the proses of getting all the history on the truck, I bought it the way it is in the picture. I like the idea of just getting 35s thanks.
