Default Tacoma suspension lift

hey everbody,

just posting for the first time, let me give you some backround.

i live in maine and just bought a 1995 Tacoma, all stock (except for the radio LOL). i am slowly starting to starting to modify for off road use.

my next step is a 2.5" to 3" lift and some 31" tires. concerning the lift, i am getting ready for college, (read, tight budget) so that rules out companys like Donahoe. but i want to do better that blocks.

first question, can i remove the stock intercoil springs completely and simply replace with a nitrous shock? leaving out the coil spring intirely?

as for the back i want to go to a new leaf pack, i am thinking maybe Northwest Off Road, out of washington state. ever heard of them?

any feedback would be apprecated, thanks!!!

I have never heard of anyone trying to do that and i don't think that is something you can do.. Just get some old man emu's up front and a add leaf in the rear or shackles.. that will be just under 300 for the lift and you can even do the install if you have the right tools. RED

sure that is the best way to go... but if your current pack is still in good shape and with you saying you are on a college budget it will save you hundreds.. but if your pack is bad already might as well get a new one. RED

Red, have u heard how the ride from the comfort set up from old man emu is? Pretty cheap, are they reliable? I want my soft ride back, like stock with a 1.5 to 2 inch lift. Old man Emus are looking pretty good.
