98 YOTA clearing 35's ?

Hey guys, I have a buddy of mine selling a set of 35 x 12.50 thornbirds...and Im not really sure how much lift im goign to need to really "clear" the tires...i was originaly planning on getting 3inch's of body and 3 inch's of suspension...what do some of yall think? (setup right now is a stock 98 tacoma with 30" buckshots...)

First I must say don't BUY THE THORNBIRDS. They are loud, wear fast, and suck in the mud. But others may say different. Second you will need at least 6inchs of lift. Alot of it has to do with your wheel size and backspacing selection as well. Go with 6inchs and 33's. The 35's will kill your stock gearing and make the freeway a 4th gear ride. But if you must have 35's you will want 6-8 inchs of lift some trimming and new set of 4.88's. RED
