Hi all,
I just purchased an 06 Toyota Tacoma std cab truck to replace my 98 GMC. I had a camper shell on my GMC that was nice to sleep in, but sometimes a hassle if I wanted to haul something tall like a motorcycle. It seemed like I was always towing a utility trailer.
I have been looking at some of the roll up tonneaus like Access and Truxedo sell. Unfortunately it looks like I will be losing the rail system if I do this, plus about 6 inches of bed width.
I do not really want a snap type tonneau system, but that may be the only real option if I want to use a bed extender and the rail system.
What are some of you using?

I have an 06 also and have been researching covers. I have it narrowed down to the Extang Trifecta or the Lund Genesis Trifold. The reason is it uses your rail system to mount (no drilling holes). It can be closed or opened and also you can remove it and put it in the bed long ways. You keep your use of rails. There is a guy on cardomain if you search him up it is an 05 or 06 with the extang and you can check it out the mounting and look. Hope this helps.
