Default Exhaust Gaskets

Ok Guys, I've got a problem. I put a Pacesetter header (big mistake) on my truck (2.7L). I welded the collector up on it already b/c it wouldn't stay sealed for longer than a week. So it didn't leak for a while after that but now I have a new problem. Where the header bolts to the cat won't stop leaking. Since I built a flange form scratch when I put a high-flow cat on it, the factory asbestos crush ring won't work. I tried Mr. Gasket exhaust gasket material and I feel I could do better with a tube of RTV! The material gets so hot it just burns out. So my question is: Where can I find a good, thick, high temp gasket material to make a gasket from?

Try a lot of Permatex High-Temp copper silicone sealant. Good luck. Bray

I saw some gasket material at kragen the otherday. Was a big sheet of it that you made your own gaskets out of.
