Default What year model

Did Toyota go to the electronic shift transfer case.

I want a truck with a manual gearshift for the transfer case. Also I prefer manual hubs.. What year trucks do I need to start looking for?

TIA,
Pat

Hi Pat! As for the E-Shift tranfer, I'm not absolutely sure of the year but I believe my '99 manual mentions this option. I have the manual shift and like it myself. You'll just have to do a visual or ask while shopping for this option.
As for manual locking hubs, I'm pretty sure '99 was the last year this was offered. Your also making a good decision in my opinion but you may have one hell of a time finding one (good luck). The only options you have beyond this is swapping a later model for a junkyard kind or purchasing a manual conversion from someone like Downey Off-Road($800)or Offroad Solutions($999). The difference is ORS offers extra new parts that I think are important for an easy install. I hope this helps. Bray

By manual gear shift for the transfer case are you asking about a stick to pull on? My 01 has the stick i have to pull to put it into 4hi lo and 2hi. My friends 04 has a button 4hi on a stick that is used to put it in 4lo
