Changing front breaks

I am going to change my front breaks and rotors this weekend. I have done this job on cars, but never on a 4wd truck. The pads seem very simple to get out, but how about the rotor? Does it just come off after the caliper is removed.

Yes, the rotor should just come off after removing the caliper.

Yeah the only thing that is a little difficult is that if you have the 4 piston calipers, it is a little tricky to push them back at the same time, if you leave the pads in and use two clamps, one on each side, ...it just helps to have a extra set of hands.

Don't forget to remove the lid on your brake reservoir and take out some fluid. When you compress the caliper pistons, you will back-pressure the fluid to the reservoir and it will need a place to relieve. Just replace what fluid you need after the install.
