Here's the deal theoretically you can do it, BUT without adding another relay and more wiring you will only get two modes of lighting. Low beam w/High beams on and High beams w/Low beams on. Even in this set up you will have to replace the wiring. If you want to be safe and trust me, you want to be safe. Fuses and wiring are usually able to handle 25% more of actual current. I can't remember but the amps are 10 for the lights. So if the fuse is 10 amps it is using 7.5 amps and it only takes 1 amp can kill you. if you don't go to a bigger wire you will must likely cause the stock wires to burn (electricity and fire don't mix). You will need to go to a heavier gauge wiring from 14 (i thinK) to 12 or 10 (10 is better) and get a bigger fuse.

I think you are better off buying some driving lights.

The two modes are true, and I am aware that simply bridging the two hots to each light would give you this result. Thank you for the info on the relay and heavy guage wire, but that sounds like alot of crawling up behind my dash and smashing my hands into places they dont want to fit. Especially if it requires basically a whole overhaul of the headlight wiring system. I think I will take your advice and possible go another route. Would you recommend replacing the stock highbeams with brighter bulbs? Thanks again!

The link below may help you decide what configuration you have. You might try Downey or Northwest Offroad for a direct replacement. I hope this helps. Bray
Oh! here's the link.

Your welcome. Just let us know if you have anymore questions concerning your question. Toyota wiring doesn't make sense sometimes. Bray

Okay, here's the easiest way to leave your high beams and lows on at the same time without having to mess with any wires..

1. Get into the truck at night.
2. Start the truck.
3. Turn on headlights.
4. Begin driving.
5. Take your left hand, hold the headlight switch.
6. Pull the switch towards you.
7. Hold that position until you grow tired of the brightness.

Sorry, I just had to do it

hahaha, Girls! You should have told her to check the hi-beam fluid, maybe it was empty. Did she tell you the 701 cap come off. (710=OIL upside down)
