I have a 99 extra cab 4x4 tacoma, as of now i have 2 inch spacers and 32x11.50 tires. I am now wanting to buy a 3.5 inch fabtech suspension lift and id like to buy new wheels and tires. I am looking for some 34x12.50 all terrain tires, but i havent had much luck finding any. Is this tire size not readily made? If so, does anyone know where i can find any and if not does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks for your reply... i was thinkin if i cant find any 34x12.50, since im hopefully getting a 3.5 inch lift and i already have 2 inch spacers to just move up to a 35x12.50 all terrain tire since that seems to be a fairly common size, or do you think it would be better to go to a 33? and also how much power/fuel loss will my truck suffer with an inch bigger tire?
That is a very odd size tire. You can get an Interco Super Swamper TSL in 33x12.50-15 and will actually be higher than specified. You're not going to go over 3 inches (with a diff-drop kit), even with the FT 3.5. You would be able to it you were a Prerunner but 4x4s rule! If I were you, I'd think about a different lift. Maybe Donahoe coilovers for the front and Deaver AALs(or a 7-leaf pack) for the rear. You could live with this for much longer and be happy! Bray
you can not add a 3.5 coilover lift with 2inch coilspacers. YOu would put your cv's in a much to great angle. And even when you do get the 3.5 lift you won't want to set it up higher then 3inchs for cv reason and for the ride. You will need to stick with 32 11.5's or you will rub. If you want to go higher you can add a body lift of 2-3 inchs and clear some 33 12.5's and anything higher then 33's will need to be regeared. But hey don't take my word for it i just have 7inchs with 35's and 4.88's and started out with stock and then 6inchs 33's and the stock 4.10's. So i might have a good idea of what works hits and fits. RED
hey thanks for fillin me in on that... I have about 2000 dollars saved to buy wheels/tires/ and a lift, what would be the best way to spend that would allow me to get the highest lift for my money (id like to spend somewhere less than 1000, but could spend more if needed) and the biggest tires for my money?
Mickey Thompson has a tire named Baja Belted in the size you wanted. The only thing different is it's a 34x11.50. Onlinetires.com carries this tire. Click on the tires link and then click the M/T logo. Hope this helps.
