Default OEM suspension replacement

Hey everyone, what's happening...

I'm definitely a newb, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I searched but couldn't find anything specific.

I have a 99' 2.7l 4x4 tacoma, and the stock suspension took a crap on me. It feels like i'm in a boat at high seas, pretty much at all times. I'm not much of an off-roader, maybe once in a great while to get to remote surf spots.

I have no intentions of lifting my truck either, and I want to spend the least amount of money, but obviously on the best quality i can afford ...So, on to my question, which shocks are the best for my situation? I was leaning towards OEM TRD shocks, but the rears are pretty expensive from the dealer.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the board. You might try e-bay to find the stock TRD Bilstien's. That's where I sold mine. Alot of guys that lift their trucks can't use the stock rear shocks. I think I sold mine with 400 miles on them for 50 bucks or so. There's alot of shocks out there (aftermarket) that perform much better it just depends on what kind of driving your doing and what kind of ride you want.

thanks for the reply, i appreciate it. I've been looking on ebay, found some bilstien HD shocks, front and rear for around 300. As far as driving, I barely ever go off-roading, so I mostly want something that will last a long time under mostly on-road driving.
