Thanks Monkey. No I have not permanently placed the remote as of yet. It's still wedged there. Thanks and I'll consider your suggestion.
As for the badges, the ones on the doors were the easiest because they are hard plastic. The ones on the tailgate were a little difficult because they are vinyl-like and the floss would try to start cutting through the letters. The residual adhesive was more of a pain but I didn't have any adhesive remover. I used a plastic putty knife, then rubbed with fingernail polish remover, immidiately re-washing the area after.
