Default What about a sound system in my double cab?

I just purchased an '01 double cab tacoma. I have seen a truck just like mine with subs hidden behind the backseat. I noticed there is not much room behind my back seat. Does anyone know if you have to cut out the back of the seat, move the seat, or a speacial box to hold 2 10" subs or 2 12" subs made for this truck?

I also looked for a box for a while and couldn't find one, that's not to say you can't make one yourself. I saw one somewhere where he put one 12" woofer in an enclosure that was on the floor of the back seats at your feet and blended in with the front console, looked good. let us know if you find something out!

I went and took a look at the double cab tacoma with the system in it. It turns out he had 4 10" subs behind the rear seat. He had custom brackets to slide the rear seat forward, he had to cut out come of the back of the back seat, and build a custom box. he said was complicated to do, but the outcome was worth it.

Well i searched for not only hours but days... if you can find a box that can hold something louder than two 10's for behind the seat of a tacoma double cab, you let me know. I'll tip my hat to you.

all you need is the two tens and the 4 6x9's in the cab to be more then loud. I think people like to over kill the sound systems now a days and it sounds like :censored::censored::censored::censored: to me when the whole truck shackes. RED

Personal opinion, look at EBay for a good deal on a sub box. You'll find tons of choices. I just bought an Infinity sub w/ enclosure that sells for $500 here in Idaho, and only paid $309, with shipping. And yes, for the sceptics, there is alot of brand new stuff on EBay.
