Default wheels and tires

ok, hows it goin yall, im wanting a good quiet off road tire, i've been thinking about the dick cepek fun country II's, or the trxus sts's, i was just wondering if the dick cepeks were an all terrain tire or at least a quiet one, i dont want to put those rough riding, vibrating, joint breaking mud tires, just enough for me to wheel every now and then, also on the wheels, which would yall say look better on a tacoma, mickey thompson classic lock rims, or the weld mountain crusher, much appreciated

I am running Michelin LTX A/T in 265/75-16 (and in 31x10.50-15) and they are quiet, great in the rain and snow, and have good tread wear. They do great offroad, but I have not been trough any deep mud with them.

Hi Wicked. I have owned a set of M/T mud radials that had a nice ride so I'm sure the Fun Country II's would ride well. I have no experience with the STS's nor have I heard anything.
Wheels are another personal preference but I send a strong vote for the Classic Locks. I recently got a good deal on a set of sim/beadlocks or else I'd be still saving my money for the M/T's. Just my .02 though. Bray

Well as someone who sells tires I would have to say one of the best all terrains is BF Goodrich All Terrain TA K/O or even Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo's. They have some of the best traction ratings and great wear ratings if taking care of them.I have a set of Bf Goodrich tires and have had them siped (a process done to the tires to open up the tread of the tires to give more biting edges for better traction). I have these tires on a 2wd Ford Ranger and with no sand bags in the bed, get great traction even in snowy and icy conditions. As for ride quiality they both have minimal road noise and ride pretty soft for aggressive tires. If you were to go with either of these you would be very happy with the choice. web page

I am rollin with Mickey T's classic II, with 35in. BFG Mudders. I love the look of the rims...it is simple and clean to give it a very clean/slick look. As for the mudders, i have no complaints on the road, cant feel the treads and suprisingly no noise. they have gotten me out of mild mud...but they prooved themselves to me in the snow. i got through just about 2 1/2-3 ft of poweder no problem. I was waiving to stuck suburbans...it was awsome.
