I have an 01 tcoma double cab and an ARE made "MPULSE" shell and it fits great and cost A LOT less than a full blown ARE shell. I think I paid around $750 for it (with the slider window). It was installed 4 years ago and i havent ever had a leak and even the local toyota dealer thought my Tacoma was an SUV since the fit and paint matched so well. It is still a little short to sleep in though with the 5'-1" bed (I am only 5'-7") but it slept okay on an elk trip to colorado and a couple of other hunting trips! hope this helps
in hindsight i'd buck up for the opening side access windows though so you dont have to climb thru the bed to get items next to the cab... |
