Default 2003 Toyota Tacoma Seat Options?

I finally bit the bullet and got rid of my 1992 Toyota Pickup after passing the 200,000 mile mark. Most painful thing I've done in a while, but had to be done. Just couldn't sink any more money into it. I went ahead and purchased a 2003 Toyota Tacoma SR5 with the TRD package. I'm planning on changing/updating a bunch of stuff on it over time, but one thing I'm hoping to change sooner rather than later are the seats. I loved my old seats in the '92, but the 2003 bucket seats kinda suck in my opinion. Pretty uncomfortable, too much lumbar support and it's not adjustable. Does anyone have any suggestions for good aftermarket bucket seats? Any links I can check out? Brands, prices, etc? Any help is much appreciated.

Only 200,000 miles on it. It wasn't even broken-in yet. My 89 Toy has 397,000. Water pump, brakes, and altinator is all that ever needed repair. Still has the original clutch. I still drive it to work, everyday.

I'm sure you'll love your new truck. I have a 2003 TRD, too. Purchased it in Dec.

hahaha...I hear ya man. However, I wish I could have been as lucky with mine. Too much driving on the beach and not enough maintenance in it's early years took it's toll. The entire body was pretty much rusted out. ALready replaced rotors, calipers, tranny, etc.. Rear diff. was completely screwed as well. Just didn't have the time and money to play with it and fix it up myself anymore. Believe me, I WISH i could have kept it forever.

How do you like your 2003? Any new upgrades? What's your take on the seats? Minor thing I know, but I've seen some nice after market seats and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions...

I have seen people put in Volvo seats out of an s series and Celica seats will work too. you have to weld your toyota brackets on those seats to work. I'll see if I can find a link to a write up. Celica racing seats would work too if you wanted something new.

Beard makes some great seats that have brackets made specifically for our model. They're pricey but if you are gonna sit for the next 200K, sit well. Truck Performance
