That is exactly what I've been wanting to do, but couldn't figure out how to do it. That set up is the best I've seen. Wonder how hard it would be to do it yourself?

It doesn't look like it would be too hard. You could cut it wider than the existing opening and use thick mounting material and sink the plate down inside the storage area using steel bar braces to bolt to the top of the plate and extend out onto the surface to mount the other end of the brace. Of course, rubber or urethane washers would be used above and below all mounting points. I like the thought of using one-half -three-quarter inch thick clear Lexan sheet. This is what many banks use at their teller windows and it stops .357 & .40 caliber rounds easy. Plus it stays clear with no distortion over time and heat. It would look very cool too. I still have'nt thought of what to fill the storage area with for good sound and still look cool through the sheet. I guess you could die some packing material to the color of your choice. Ah, this may be tacky, just a thought. Or maybe limo-tint it. Sorry for the long post. Bray.

I've made a couple of regular speaker boxes in the past and I alway's packed them with house insulation. I'd go to a local lumber yard and they always had busted bundles of insulation and they would give me however much i needed for free since they can't sell it. It worked really well, but it's either yellow or pink. If you used the plastic cover the limo tint would look really cool.

Bray, I'm sure there are other things you could use besides the insulation, but it's cheap and easy to get and does the job. Are you thinking about doing that sub woofer set up? If so try to do a write up and tell us how hard it was to complete.

Well Drew, I'm not a big audio-head, but I'm learning. I have installed tweeter pods on the corner windows from CT forum and rear Infinity References in the rear(6.5's on my '99). I have been eyeing a couple of head units from JVC and Pioneer that are XM-ready & have graphic display at 52 watts-per-channel. I know that a good sub in the rear would need a good amp to push it but I'm older than most of you guys and have a wife and a 5-year-old boy. Just today I purchased my wife an '04 4-Runner loaded with everything imaginable including XM radio. I'll get to enjoy driving this ride on trips and vacations and my wife deserves it for putting up with me and has been perfectly happy with the '95 that she has been driving. Anyway, the '95 is for sale (2-wheel drive) but is one great truck. I hope they are still what they were back then. Bray. P.S. If I do the mod, I'll definately post it!
