Default 3\" Confed Lift Installed!!

I finally installed the 3" Cornfed Spacer lift . I'm really pleased with the clearance it gave. I wasn't sure if 3" would do much, but I was wrong. Next comes the tires. I've decided to go with the Nitto Terra Grappler's. Should I go with 285/75/r16's or 265/75/r16's ? If anyone has the 285's on a 3" lift how do they work? Check out the pics of the lift here. Tell me whatcha think, just go to the lift pics link. Thanks for all the help and answering my newbie questions. I've learned a lot from all of ya'll.

Slvry03, your truck and the C/F lift look great! You did a great job! I must assume that your Dad helped from the brand that I saw. You should be very proud of his help and his brand. I have a 5 year-old that I can only wish that he would be as proud of my helping him as you are about your dad helping you with the lift. You made the right lift choice, now enjoy the ride(with your Dad). Keep us posted on the tires though. Bray. P.S. My son is my life, period.

Hello, I have a 04 Tacoma. I installed a Revtec 3in lift. I went with 265/75/16 Firestone Destination M/T's, on the stock 16X7 wheels. It looks perfect. I think the 285's might look a little big. I was a little suprised that the 75's were an inch and a half taller than the stock 70's. So the 285's will be even taller. I put the tires on before the lift and they did rub. No problems now though. It looks cool.
If your able to buy the tires locally, try the 285's out and if they don't fit or you don't like them, make the tire guy take em off and put the 265's on! When I bought mine, not being a Firestone fan, I asked to try them for 45 day's, they said no problem, if you don't like them, bring em back. Good luck. Jake.

I would try the 285s first. I run 305/70/16 on mine with ProComp 16x8 wheels and they do rub slightly when turning. I went with the daystar spacer kit. I will be making an additional 1/4" spacer plate to give me a little more clearance.

I also run a tire shop and if someone wants to try a tire on to see if it will fit, we do it, no questions asked.

Additional spacer on top of the spring mount not on the wheels. Spacing the wheels out would make it rub even more.

Thanks for the info ya'll. I'm prob gonna go with the 285's and see how they work. I really like that size of tire. Hopefully it'll work, but if they don't i can alway's drop down to the 265's. what kind of tire are ya'll running and how is the wear and road noise. I'm pretty set on the Nitto Terra Grappler's, but I alway's like to see what everyone else is doing. Thanks again.

Hey man, make sure you update us on how you like those tires if you get the Terra Grapplers. I was interested in getting those too for a while.

The one thing about them, though, is they look the best in the wider sizes with a big rim and smaller sidewalls! But they seem like good tires.

As you know I am running the Mickey Thompson FCIIs and lovin them. The best tires I've ever bought!
