I just got my Taco painted, and now I'm seriously looking into a 3" lift. But I just put a new set of 31 x 10.50's on my truck about 3,000 miles ago. I am concerned about how it will look, lifted 3" and setting on 31's.
Does anyone have any pictures of their Tacoma with a 3" lift on 31's?
Was it a custom paint job or did you get the same factory color you had before? I don't think a 3" lift with 31's would look that bad. If you really care and want the truck to look better, I would try and sell your tires and get 32's or 33's. Those size tires would look better, but it just depends on what you want to do.
it's a 96, but I had it painted the 97 shade of bright red. The 96 shade wasn't bright enough for me....but I didn't do it to change the shade....the paint was very oxidized and faded out....
I'm thinking I'd like to go with 32 x 11.50's...because I'd like to keep the stock rims.
I guess it's just what kind of look you like. Some people like a lot of space betweent the tires and the fender wells, while others like less space. I think the 32's would look good. I'm about to put on a 3" lift on my tacoma and i'm prob gonna go with 285's on my stock wheels. be sure and post some before and after pics so we can check it out. Good luck.
I've seen a few trucks with 3" lift and 32x11.50 and they looked good. That lift with those tires looks normal. I have a 2" with 265/75/16's which is just under a 32" tire size, and those tires are almost too small looking for just a 2" lift. I would def. go with the 32x11.50's. That's my opinion.
You'll have 1.75" tread and 1.5" bulge love hanles on each side of the rim due to the tire width. So yeah, you better love fat tires. Just think of it as more cushion for the pushin.
Actually, good point. I don't know if that will fit. Looking at the specs for a BFG A/T for example, they recomend an 8 or 10 inch rim for 32x11.50. Check out this document: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rain_ta_kd.pdf
for 32x11.50 they say 8-10. Anyone runnin' these tires on a 7" rim?
